　ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントは本日（2022年4月5日），San Diego Studioによる野球ゲーム「MLB The Show 22」の英語版をPS5とPS4向けにリリースし，パッケージを飾る大谷翔平選手が出演する最新トレイラーを公開した。また，MLBAMから，本作のNintendo Switch版がリリースされている。


　MLB The Show 22は，MLB（メジャーリーグベースボール）の公式ライセンスを取得した野球ゲームシリーズの最新作だ。自分の分身となる選手を育成してスーパースターを育成したり，歴代の有名選手でドリームチームを編成したりと，多彩な遊び方でMLBの世界を体験できる。

本日発売

　ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントは、“PlayStation 5”（PS5）/“PlayStation 4”（PS4）用ソフトウェア『MLB The Show 22』（英語版）を日本国内に向けて本日2022年4月5日（火）に発売いたしました。

　『MLB The Show 22』（英語版）は、誰でもメジャーリーガー体験ができる「The Show」シリーズの最新作。現役選手やレジェンド選手でドリームチームを編成してライバルと競い合ったり、自分の分身となる新人選手を作ってスーパースターに育て上げたりと、様々な遊び方でMLBの世界を遊び尽くすことができます。


※本作は北米版と同一の内容となり、ゲーム内の表記・音声はすべて英語となります。また、ゲーム内通貨の購入は行えません。

　本作は、“PS5”用通常版、“PS4”用通常版に加え、様々なゲーム内アイテムが付属した“PS5”/“PS4”用MVPエディション、“PS5”/“PS4”用デジタルデラックスエディションも発売いたします。各エディションの内容物や購入特典は、公式ページでご確認ください。

　『MLB The Show 22』（英語版）では、各ゲームモードはさらにリアルに進化し、さらに自由度を増し、そして初心者からベテランプレイヤーまで楽しめるよう新たに2つの難易度が追加されております。シリーズお馴染みのオンライン対戦も進化を遂げ、これまでの1対1でのオンライン対戦に加え、本作ではオンラインのフレンドとチームを組み、他プレイヤーたちのチームと対戦できるようになりました。遠く離れた場所に住む見知らぬライバルたちのチームと2対2や3対3で対戦に挑めます。

　本作は、“PS5”と“PS4”に加え、Xbox One、Xbox Series X|S、Nintendo Switchでも同時発売となります。プラットフォームをまたいだオンラインマルチプレイが可能で世界中のあらゆるプレイヤーと競い合うことができ、さらに他プラットフォーム版とのクロスセーブやゲーム進捗の同期も可能です。

※“PS5”または“PS4”でオンラインマルチプレイをご利用いただくには、　インターネット通信環境および“PlayStation Plus”利用権が必要です。他プラットフォーム版をプレイする場合もオンラインマルチプレイのために、サービス加入が必要となる可能性があります。

　本作のパッケージを飾る大谷翔平選手は、2021年にはアメリカンリーグMVPを始め11の賞を獲得し、アメリカで大旋風を巻き起こしている、ご存知の通りのスーパースター選手。“PlayStation”公式YouTubeでは、大谷翔平選手が夢を叶えるために作った“チャート”を紹介するトレーラーを公開しています。
