「Guardians of Middle-Earth」の最新ムービーでガンダルフとゴラムが大暴れ
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainmentは，2012年内にリリースを予定している「Guardians of Middle-Earth」（PS3/Xbox 360）の最新ムービーを公開した。
Guardians of Middle-Earthは，DOTA系などとも呼ばれる，「MOBA」（Multiplayer Online Battle Arena）と呼ばれるジャンルのゲームだ。
本作には，光と闇の勢力がそれぞれ10体ずつ，総勢20体のヒーローキャラクターが用意される予定で，今回公開されたムービーでは，ガンダルフとゴラムが紹介されている。
ゴラムは体力が少ないもののスピードがあり，敵のヒーローキャラクターを狙うキャラクターとして利用できる。ガンダルフは魔法を使い，同時に何匹ものNPCと対峙できるという。
MOBAはPCで人気のジャンルだが，Guardians of Middle-Earthはコンシューマ機向けにリリースされ，マルチプレイにも対応している。また，ピーター・ジャクソン監督の映画「The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey」（邦題: 「ホビット 思いがけない冒険」）とのタイアップもある予定だ。
