「Battlefield 3」の最新DLC，「End Game」の詳細が発表。Capture the Flagに加えて，Air Superiorityが登場

　Electronic Artsは，「Battlefield」シリーズの公式サイトをアップデートし，「Battlefield 3」（PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360）向けの最新DLCとなる「End Game」の詳細を明らかにした。

　End Gameについては，2012年12月20日に掲載した記事で，対戦モード「Capture the Flag」が久々に復活することをお伝えしている。今回明らかになった情報によると，「Battlefield 1943」にあった「Air Superiority」が，End Gameにも搭載されるとのこと。Air Superiorityは空中戦がメインになるため，End Gameに用意された4つのマップは，いずれも非常に広大なものになる予定だ。新しく登場するドロップシップで兵士を空中輸送したり，ダートバイクなどのビークルを敵地に降下したりといったことも可能になる。
　また，End Gameが欧米で配信される2013年3月には，経験値2倍キャンペーンが実施される予定だが，End Game以降のDLCについては明らかになっていない。

　おそらく，今後EA DICEは，「Medal of Honor: Warfighter」の予約開始時に明らかになった「Battlefield 4」に開発の主軸を置いていくと思われるが，いずれにしろ，Battlefieldファンの楽しみはまだまだ続きそうだ。そうしたこともあってか，Electronic Artsは，BattlefieldのPremium会員数が約290万人に達したことを公表している。
