世界のe-Sports関連ニュースや対戦速報を追えるアプリ「theScore eSports」が海外でリリース。取扱情報のメインは「League of Legends」

　スポーツの速報や各種データをモバイル端末向けに配信しているカナダのtheScore。これまで，NBAやNFL，NCAA Football，NHL，MLBといった北米メジャースポーツの結果/スコアをリアルタイムで閲覧可能なモバイルアプリを展開していたtheScoreだが，今度はe-Sportsにフォーカスした無料アプリをリリースした。アプリ名は「theScore eSports」で，現在Android版が配信中。iOS向版も近く配信が行われるようだ。


　このアプリは，大雑把に言えば「世界中で行われているe-Sportsタイトルのニュース速報や，対戦の予定，結果，詳細スコア，関連コンテンツへのリンクなどを確認できる」というものだ。対象タイトルはe-Sportsとして盛り上がりを見せているメジャーなタイトルが中心で，現時点では，「League of Legends」（リーグはNA LCS，EU LCS，LCK，LPL）のニュース速報とリアルタイムでの対戦情報閲覧，「Dota 2」「Counter-Strike: Global Offensive」「Call of Duty」シリーズ，「StarCraft II」「Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft」のニュース速報に対応している。もちろん，対象タイトルは今後も増やしていく予定だという。

　League of Legendsに関しては，一部対戦の開始/終了をアラートとして受け取りつつ，リアルタイムで更新される対戦情報を閲覧することができる。対応するのは韓国，北米，ヨーロッパ，中国のリーグで，現在の順位表や各チーム/プレイヤーのプロフィールなども確認可能だ。


　アプリはメニューを含めてすべて英語だが，手元のAndroid端末にダウンロードして確認したところ，スコア，順位表などの各種コンテンツはシンプルにまとめられているため，e-Sportsファンがお気に入りチームの状況や対戦情報を得るには十分だと思われる。対戦速報が行われている試合の，TwitchやYouTubeにおけるストリーミング配信場所がすぐに確認できるのも便利だ。
