「Battle for Middle-Earth II」コレクターズエディション発表

　「The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II」といえば，2006年2月に発売を控える，指輪物語の世界をベースにしたRTSの期待作だ。先ごろ，本作のコレクターズエディションが発表された。
　コレクターズエディションには，HDTV（高精細テレビ）に最適化されたゲーム内ムービーの高解像度版や，メイキング映像，コンセプトアートをまとめた画集，カラーポスター，NVIDIAのグラフィックスカードを購入するときに使えるクーポン券（日本国内では使えない）が同梱されるなど，盛りだくさんの内容だ。さらには，通常の製品には含まれないスペシャルユニット（炎を吐くドラゴン）やマルチプレイマップも収録されるとのこと。

　海外の公式サイトに，コレクターズエディションに関する詳細が掲載されているので，指輪物語やRTSのファンならば確認しておこう。なおコレクターズエディションは，通常版と同時に発売される予定で，今のところ価格は未定だ。（朝倉哲也）
