EA，指輪物語RTSのナレーションに“本物”のエルロンドを起用？

　小説「指輪物語」を題材にしたRTS「The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II」のナレーションに，ハリウッド俳優のHugo Weaving（ヒューゴ・ウィーヴィング）氏が起用されることになった。

　Weaving氏は，指輪物語の映画化作品「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング」三部作にハーフエルフのエルロンド役で出演しており，適任といっていいだろう。ちなみにWeaving氏は，映画「マトリックス」のエージェント・スミス役としても有名。

　ゲームの発売時期は未定だが，公式サイトによれば，2005年12月初旬からβテストが始まる予定となっている。また，シングルプレイ用デモ版のリリースも行われるようだ。
　公式サイトには，スクリーンショットやムービートレイラーなどが公開されている。まだ見ていない人はチェックしておこう。（朝倉哲也）
