「Battlefield 2：Armored Fury」のパノラマ画像を入手

　この夏のリリースが予定されている，人気FPS「バトルフィールド2」のブースターパック「Battlefield 2: Armored Fury」のマップの雰囲気をよく伝えるパノラマ画像を独自に入手した。アメリカ北東部の穀倉地帯を舞台とする「Operation Harvest」，アラスカのバルデス港で繰り広げられる「Operation Midnight Sun」，そして“ハートランド”とも呼ばれるアメリカ中部のハイウェイが戦場となる「Operation Road Rage」の三つのマップのものだ。

　Aemored Furyは，アメリカ史上初めて本土に敵の機械化部隊が侵略してきた，という設定で，中東連合と中国軍がアメリカ軍と激しく戦うことになる。対地爆撃機やレーダー装備のヘリコプターなど，新しく加えられる兵器も多く，空域の支配や偵察能力が勝利の鍵を握りそうだ。
　本作は，すでにリリースされているブースターパック「バトルフィールド 2 ユーロフォース」と同じく，販売元であるElectronic Artsのオンライン配信サービスEA Downloaderから，9.99ドル（日本での販売価格は税込みで1280円）でダウンロードできるようになる予定。プレイするには「バトルフィールド2」のパッチv1.3以降のものが適用されている必要がある。（奥谷海人）
