	小説「指輪物語」を題材にしたファンタジーRTS「War of The Ring」の，最新Screenshots9点が公開された。 　War of The Ringは，ファンタジーRTSの傑作「Warcraft III」にインスパイアされたであろうゲームシステムをベースに，指輪物語の世界観を存分に表現しているタイトル。指輪物語を題材にした初のRTSということで，原作を愛する多くのプレイヤー注目されている作品である。 　フロドやガンダルフ，アラゴルン，レゴラスといったお馴染みのキャラクター達も登場するほか，じっくりと楽しめるシングルキャンペーンモードでは，原作の主人公達の視点で描かれる"白の陣営"のストーリーだけでなく，ドル＝グルドゥアからの脱出した冥王サウロンの物語を楽しめる"闇の陣営"のストーリーも用意されているなど，ファンを意識した作りは本作の大きな特徴の一つだといえよう。 　ちなみに北米では2003年11月14日に発売が予定されている本作だが，気になる日本での展開は未定。国内版については，情報が入り次第お届けしたいと思う。（TAITAI） The “War of the ring" interactive game c 2003 Vivendi Universal Games, Inc.
