4年ぶりのナンバリング新作「ボーダーランズ4」発表。2025年発売へ

　2K GamesとGearbox Softwareは，本日（2024年8月21日）実施されたゲームショーケース配信「gamescom Opening Night Live 2024」にて，ルートシューターシリーズの最新作「ボーダーランズ4」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）を発表した。2025年に発売予定とのことだ。


　ボーダーランズシリーズは，トゥーン調のグラフィックスとぶっ飛びがちなストーリー，そしてランダム生成される膨大な種類のアイテムが特徴のルートシューターRPG。シリーズ作品の最新作は「ワンダーランズ 〜タイニー・ティナと魔法の世界」で，ナンバリング新作は「ボーダーランズ3」以来，4年ぶりとなる。


　ティザー映像は衛星（小惑星？）がワープしてきた後に，惑星表面の結晶状のなにかを砕き，破片が地上に降り注いだ場所で，お馴染み“サイコ”の仮面が見つかるという演出となっていた。仮面を拾い上げた手の存在も気になるところだ。
