古代エジプトの覇権をかけて戦う「Total War: PHARAOH」のリリースが日本時間10月12日に決定

　SEGAとCreative Assemblyは，「Total War」シリーズの最新作「Total War: PHARAOH」の配信を日本時間2023年10月12日1：00，SteamとEpic Gamesストアで開始すると発表した。
　価格はStandarn Editionが7580円，Delux Editionが8676円，Dynasty Editionが1万485円（いずれも税込）となっている。

　「Total War: PHARAOH」は，約3500年前の古代エジプト新王国時代をテーマにしたストラテジーゲームだ。強大な権力を誇るファラオ，ラムセス2世の死によって混乱に陥った19〜20代王朝を舞台に，プレイヤーはエジプト，カナン，ヒッタイトの3文化圏8王家から1つを選び，自勢力の拡大と支配を目指していく。
　ターンベースの「戦略パート」で外交や内政，部隊の編成などを行い，「戦闘パート」でリアルタイムの大規模な戦闘に挑むという「Total War」シリーズの基本システムはそのままに，砂嵐や豪雨といった天候の変化や，キャンペーンのカスタマイズ機能といった新機軸が盛り込まれている。


　予約購入者に特典が用意されているほか，SteamとEpic Gamesストアでは，先行してゲームにアクセスできるアーリーアクセスウィークエンドを9月29日〜10月2日に実施する予定だ。アーリーアクセスでは，エジプトとカナンのいずれかを選んで，最大60ターンを何度でもプレイ可能。ただし，セーブデータは製品版に引き継げない。現段階で日本語に対応していないのが残念だが，ストラテジーファンは発売を楽しみにしてほしい。
