「DUNE Awakening」正式発表。映画“DUNE”のゲーム化作品はオープンワールドサバイバルMMO

　Funcomは本日（2022年8月24日），ドイツ・ケルンで開催されるゲームショウ「gamescom 2022」のオープニングイベント「gamescom Opening Night Live 2022」で，映画「DUNE/デューン 砂の惑星」を題材にしたオープンワールドサバイバルMMO「DUNE Awakening」のアナウンストレイラーを公開した。


　本作に関しては，昨年の12月に「Dune」のゲーム化が発表されており，今回はそのジャンルを含めてが正式にお目見えとなった形だ。プラットフォームはPC（Steam），PS5，Xbox Series X/Sとなるようで，すでにSteamに紹介ページが公開されている。興味がある人はチェックしてみよう。

　Funcomが，2019年にLegendary Entertainment及びHerbert Propertiesとの提携を行っていた「Dune」のゲーム化について，ドイツのNUKKLEARと共同開発することをアナウンスした。日本でも今年10月に公開されている映画「DUNE/デューン 砂の惑星」の評価も高く，大型プロジェクトになることが期待される。
