　THQ Nordic Japanは本日（2024年3月15日），「Outcast - A New Beginning（アウトキャスト 新たなる始まり）」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S）のPlayStation 5向けパッケージ版をリリースしたと発表した。ダウンロード版については，本日夜，SteamとPlayStation Store，Microsoft Storeで始まるとのこと。

　ベルギーのAppeal Studiosが開発した「Outcast - A New Beginning」は，1999年にリリースされて高い評価を獲得した「Outcast」の続編となるアクションRPGだ。前作に引き続き，元海軍特殊部隊のカッター・スレイドが主人公となり，未知の惑星アデルファを舞台に，地元の人々に協力しながら侵略者であるロボット軍団に立ち向かっていく。「オープンワールドの先駆け」と言われた前作と同じく，本作にはさらにパワーアップした広大なオープンワールドが構築されており，プレイヤーはジェットパックでアデルファを自由に飛び回りつつ，スピーディな戦いを繰り広げていく。


　日本語ボイスにも対応した「Outcast - A New Beginning」では，各プラットフォーム向けの無料デモ版も公開されている。ようやく帰ってきたシリーズ最新作の購入を考えている人は，チェックしてほしい。

惑星アデルファを救うため、元海軍特殊部隊「カッター・スレイド」がロボットの侵略者に立ち向かう、オープンワールドSFアクションRPGです。荒廃した惑星タランと天然資源が枯渇した状況を目の当たりにしたスレイド。ロボット勢力による侵略と自身の過去の因果に直面した彼は、惑星を救う任務に挑む。果たしてスレイドは惑星を救うことができるのか？
