「Farming Simulator 22」，アップデートデータ“バージョン1.2”を実装。新ブランドを含む16台の車両が追加に

　スイスを拠点にするGIANT Softwareは，大規模農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」（PC / Mac / Xbox Series X / Xbox One / PS5 / PS4）に無料アップデートデータ「バージョン1.2」を実装した。


　日本では，バンダイナムコエンターテインメントから発売されている「Farming Simulator 22」は，100社を超える実在の農機メーカーとのライセンス契約により，400種以上もの車両（農機・農具)を使って，小麦やジャガイモ，ブドウなどの農作物を収穫したり，畜産業や林業をこなしたりしながら，広大な農場で大規模農場経営が楽しめるシミュレーションゲームだ。

　どこか二ッチに感じられるが，欧米ではグループでヘイベール（牧草をロール状にしたもの）を運ぶスピードを競うeスポーツ大会も開催されるなどしており，本作もローンチ後1週間で150万本の世界累計出荷数を記録したことが明らかにされている（関連記事）。


　今回のコンテンツアップデートは，一部車両の価格や修理コストなどの調整や，操作感，さらに4つ目のマップである「Erlengrat」のバグフィックスなどが行われている。

　また，新たに16車両が追加されており，この中には692馬力を誇るケースIHの最新トラクターQuadtrac / Steiger AFS Connect Seriesをはじめ，新たにライセンス提携されたアメリカのABI Attachments，デンマークのKongskilde Industries，そしてオランダのVervaetという3つの農機メーカーの車両などが含まれている。

　なおGIANT Softwareは，“シミュレーションゲームは取っつきにくいというゲーマーに考慮”してか，より抜本的なゲーム外チュートリアルサービス「Farming Simulator Academy」（リンク）を発足させている。現時点では，テキストのみなうえに日本語化はされていないものの，簡易日本語版を現在準備中とのことだ。
