「Farming Simulator 22」の最新トレイラー公開。イチゴやトマトを栽培できる温室に加えて養蜂も可能に

　GIANT Softwareは，2021年11月25日の発売が近づく大規模農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」（PC / Mac / PS5 / Xbox Series X / PS4 / Xbox One）の最新情報を紹介するトレイラーを公開した。

　「Farming Simulator 22」は，広大な農地を舞台に，メーカーの公式ライセンスを得たさまざまな農業機械を操作して作物を育て，収穫するという農業シミュレーションゲームだ。シリーズ最新作となる本作では，四季の概念が取り入れられ，土壌改良や生産チェーンの仕組みも加えられるなど，大人から子供まで農業体験が楽しめる作品になっている。これまでと同様，林業や牧畜も楽しめるが，今回はそうした動物達の新たな姿が紹介されている。


　本作で飼育できるのは，ウシとブタ，ヒツジ，ニワトリで，さらに，農場の周囲をチェックするといった移動手段に役立つウマ，ペットとしてどこにでも連れていけるイヌ，そしてときおり訪ねてくる野生のシカなどが登場する。生き物達の姿はリアルでありながらも，どこか愛嬌があり，ウシを搾乳したり，ヒツジの毛を刈ったり，鶏卵をベーカリーに運んでケーキ作りに使ってもらうなど，それぞれの動物達が生産チェーンにおける重要な役割を果たしている。


　さらに，新機能として養蜂と温室が登場することも明らかされた。ファンメイドのMODとして使用できたこともある温室では，イチゴやトマト，レタスの栽培が可能で，公開されたスクリーンショットからは，ビニールハウスではなく，ガラス張りのしっかりした作りであることが分かる。四季の概念が導入された本作だが，この温室によって，草木が枯れる冬の期間でも収穫が望めるというわけだ。
　また，ハチの巣箱は温室やジャガイモ，キャノーラ，ヒマワリ畑などの近くに設置することで植物の受粉が進み，収穫量が増加する。ハチミツは直接販売できるほか，トウモロコシと一緒に工場に送れることで，サクサクのシリアルになってくれる。映像では，保護スーツを着込んだ養蜂家の姿が確認できるはずだ。


　発売まで約1か月という段階で新情報が公開されるなど，豊富なコンテンツ量が予想できる「Farming Simulator 22」。日本ではバンダイナムコエンターテインメントが販売を行うので，ローカライズやサポートにも期待できる。仲間と一緒に大規模農業に従事する日本人ゲーマーも増えそうだ。
