時間を巻き戻す少女が主人公のエピソディックアドベンチャー「Life is Strange」の最新トレイラーが公開。第1エピソードは2015年1月30日にリリース

　Square Enixがパブリッシングを行うエピソディックアドベンチャー「Life is Strange」（PC / PS4 / PS3 / Xbox One / Xbox 360）の最新トレイラーが公開されるともに，Steamでのプレオーダーが開始された。気になる第1エピソードの海外での発売は2015年1月30日となるが，Steamでは日本からは購入できないようだ。



　2014年8月にドイツで開催されたgamescom 2014で初めて公開された「Life is Strange」は，フランスのDONTNOD Entertainmentが手掛ける最新作で，五つのエピソードに分けてリリースされる予定の作品だ。
　本作では，時間を巻き戻すという特殊能力「Rewind Power」に目覚めたティーンエイジャーの少女Maxを主人公として，幼馴染みだったChloeとの人間関係を中心にしたストーリーが展開していくのだが，このRewind Powerを使い過ぎると，未来に大きな影響を与えてしまう。そんな現実との葛藤も，本作の大きなテーマになっている。


　「Life is Strange」は，綿密に書き込まれたグラフィックノベルのようなテイストが特徴で，スティーブン・キングの世界観に，「Gone Home」や「BEYOND: Two Souls」のようなゲームスタイルを織り交ぜたようなゲームになりそうだ。現時点では，SteamのみでPC版のプレオーダーが始まっている。いまのところ日本でのリリースは予定されていないが，良質なアドベンチャーが楽しめる作品に仕上がることに期待したい。
