「アサシン クリード」の新作発表は2015年5月12日に決定。ビクトリア朝のイギリスを思わせるイメージも公開

　Ubisoft Entertainmentは，北米時間の2015年5月12日に「アサシン クリード」の最新作を発表する予定だ。発表はストリーミング配信で行われ，日本時間では5月13日1:00にスタートする。


　毎年のように新作が発表されてきた「アサシン クリード」シリーズだが，2015年作品に関しては，19世紀後半に「太陽の沈まない帝国」とも呼ばれたビクトリア朝のロンドンを舞台にした，「Assassin’s Creed: Victory」という新作の情報が海外メディアにリークされている（関連記事）。
　Ubisoft側も，そのリーク情報が正しいことを認めており，今回の発表に合わせて公開されたイメージでも「イギリス紳士」の象徴であるステッキ（杖）が描かれている。

　もちろん，「アサシン クリード ローグ」が「Comet」というコードネームを持っていたように，その名称や世界設定はその後変更されている可能性もあるだろう。いずれにせよ，新作がベールを脱ぐのを楽しみに待ちたい。
