Activisionが「Destiny」で950万ユーザーアカウントを獲得したと発表。続編の開発も始動へ

　Activision Blizzardは，2014年第3四半期の業績報告を行い，その中で2014年9月にグローバルローンチされたBungieのFPS「Destiny」（PS4/PS3/Xbox One/Xbox 360）のユーザーアカウントが950万に達していることを報告した。アクティブユーザー数には言及されていないが，アクティブユーザー1人当たり，1日3時間プレイされているという。


　また，ファンにとって気になるのは，Activision Blizzard　CEOのEric Hirshberg（エリック・ハーシュバーグ）氏が，現在Bungieは拡張パックである「Dark Below」の仕上げを行うとともに，すでに続編も別働隊によって開発を進めていることを，この報告会で明かしていることだ。もちろん，次回作の開発といってもまだまだ企画段階であると思われ，今後もDestinyのDLCが何度かリリースされていくことになると思われる。
　いずれにせよ，Activision Blizzardにとっては「Call of Duty」に続く大型FPSシリーズを手に入れたことになる。今後の展開に期待したい。
