オンライン専用FPS「Destiny」，北米での発売日が2014年9月9日に決定

　ActivisionとBungie Studiosは，2013年12月7日に開催されたゲームイベント「VGX 2013」にて，オンライン専用FPS「Destiny」（PS4 / PS3 / Xbox One / Xbox 360）の北米での発売日が，各プラットフォーム共通で2014年9月9日になることを明らかにした。公式サイトでは，すでに北米や欧州向けの予約販売の告知が始まっており，予約特典として，βテストへのアクセス権が付属することが発表されている。


　Microsoft Studiosの傘下メーカーだったBungieが独立し，Activisionとの10年契約により開発が進められている「Destiny」は，特殊な能力を得た地球人の一団が，太陽系を侵略したエイリアン集団に立ち向かっていくというストーリーのFPSだ。地球や月，火星などの惑星や衛星を仲間達と自由に旅しながら，さまざまなミッションをこなしていくというゲームシステムで，MMORPGとCo-op専用のFPSを組み合わせたようなタイトルになるという。

　現時点では日本でのリリース予定はなく，コンシューマー機向けのオンライン専用タイトルであることから，英語版を買ってプレイするのもハードルが高そうだが，Haloシリーズで有名なBungieのタイトルであるだけに，多くのゲーマーにとって注目のタイトルであることは間違いない。続報を楽しみにしておこう。
