Appleが2018年をふり返る「Best of 2018」を公開。今年のゲームトレンドは「フォートナイト」や「PUBG Mobile」などのバトルロワイアルゲーム

　Appleは本日（2018年12月4日），同社のストアで扱われている各カテゴリーの「Best of 2018」を発表した。


　これは音楽，映画，本，アプリのトップチャートから，Appleのスタッフが選出した作品を一堂に集めたものだ。今年のゲームトレンドには，「フォートナイト」（PC / PlayStation 4 / Nintendo Switch / iOS / Android）や「PUBG MOBILE」（iOS / Android）などのバトルロワイアルゲームが選出されている。

　バトルロワイアルゲームには決められた攻略方法はなく，落ちている武器やアイテムを拾いながら果敢に戦ったり，小屋を建てて閉じこもったり，プレイヤーが自由に行動できることが特徴だ。ゲームの展開はすべてプレイヤー次第という，自由度の高さが人気が高まった理由だろう。

　そのほか，ベストiPhoneゲームに「Donut County」（PC / PS4 / iOS），ベストiPadゲームに「Gorogoa」（PC / iPad），ベストMacゲームに「The Gardens Between」（PS4 / PC）が選ばれていることから，2018年はパズルゲームが人気を集めていたことがうかがえる。
