「Dragon Age 2」の新DLC「Dragon Age 2: Legacy」の制作が発表。主人公Hawkeの家督に秘められた謎に迫るストーリーが展開

　BioWareのファンタジーRPG「Dragon Age 2」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）に，「The Exiled Prince」に続く新たなダウンロードコンテンツ「Dragon Age 2: Legacy」が登場することが明らかになった。欧米では2011年7月26日に各プラットフォームに向けてリリースされる予定で，価格はそれぞれ，PC版が800BioWareポイント，PS3版が9.99ドル，Xbox 360版が800マイクロソフトポイント。
※初出時「DLC第1弾」と記載していましたが，正しくは「Dragon Age II: The Exiled Prince」が第1弾となります。お詫びして訂正いたします。

　Dragon Age 2は，“前作「Dragon Age: Origins」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）に比べてマップが小さい”という点がよく指摘されるところ。しかしこのDragon Age 2: Legacyでは，窮屈なKirkwallを離れ，精鋭戦士集団Grey Wardenが建設したという巨大な刑務所に向けて旅立つことになる。犯罪者達に命を狙われ続ける主人公Hawkeが，その理由を追求するというのが，Legacyの序盤のストーリーラインである。そしてその旅の中で，Hawkeの父と，その家系に秘められた謎が明らかにされていくという。ファンには魅力的な展開が待っているようだ。


　新しいモンスターや武器が追加されるなど，遊び応えも十分にありそうなDLC「Dragon Age 2: Legacy」。日本では依然として本編すら発売されていないだけに，期待しているファンは悶々としていることだろう。
　それでも，果たしてHawkeにはどのような運命が待ち受けているのか，想像を膨らませておこう。
