「Thief」の第1ミッション“Lockdown”を紹介する約17分のウォークスルー映像が公開に。iOS向けコンパニオンアプリ「THIEF Companion」も配信中

　Square-Enixは，北米で2014年2月25日に発売を予定しているステルスアクション最新作「Thief」（PC / PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 3 / Xbox One / Xbox 360）の第1ミッション，“Lockdown”を紹介する約17分のウォークスルー映像を公開した。


　この映像は，AMDとの提携でオプティマイズされたPCを使って撮影されたものとのこと。第1ミッションの内容は，主人公のギャレットがアジトの時計台に戻るというもので，その道中では，荒廃したシティの惨状を見て回る，宝石商の邸宅に侵入といったこともできるようだ。
　物を投げた音で相手の注意を引きつけたり，暗がりから暗がりへと身を隠しながらサッと移動したり，角（かど）から部屋の中や通りの奥を覗いたりといった具合に，ステルスアクション性の高さも見て取れる。映像ではついでに財宝やコイン，手紙などのドキュメント（集めるとゲームの世界をより深く理解できるらしい）も収集している模様だ。


　なお，今のところ日本語化はされていないが，本作の専用コンパニオンアプリ「THIEF Companion」がApp Storeにて無料で配信されている。ゲームの発売前であるためロック部分が多いものの，キャラクターアートやインゲーム映像を見られ，プレイヤーがルートしたアイテム一覧を眺めたり，マップなどを確認したりできる機能も備えるほか，今後はサウンドトラックやコミックスが公開される予定とのこと。ファン必携のアプリといえるので，ぜひダウンロードしておきたい。
