PC版「Metro 2033 Redux」の無料配布が48時間限定で実施中。「Metro」シリーズ15周年を記念して

　4A Gamesは本日（2025年4月15日），FPSシリーズ「Metro」の15周年を記念し，「Metro 2033 Redux」を48時間限定で無料配布すると発表した。期間は日本時間の4月17日1：00まで。


　Metroは，ロシアのSF作家ドミトリー・グルホフスキー氏の小説「Metro 2033」を原作とするゲームシリーズで，今回無料配布となった「Metro 2033 Redux」は，その1作目のリマスター版だ。

　舞台となるのは，核戦争によって荒廃したモスクワの地下鉄跡の廃墟。プレイヤーは，地下で生まれ育った主人公「アルチョム」として，義理の父の友人に託された任務を達成するため，おぞましい姿のクリーチャー達や，敵対勢力の人類達が待ち受ける“外の世界”へと冒険に向かうことになる。


　オリジナル版からグラフィックスがパワーアップしているほか，武器のカスタマイズをはじめ，サイレントキルやテイクダウン，マスクを拭って視界をクリアにするアクションなど，続編となる「Last Light」の要素が追加されている。

　対象プラットフォームはPC（Steam，GOG）とXboxとなっているが，Microsoft Storeは執筆時点ではまだ反映されていないようだ。Steam，GOGではすでに配布がスタートしているので，PC版をまだ持っていない人は早めにもらっておこう。
