Activision，Call of DutyシリーズをSteamでダウンロード販売

　Activisionは，Call of Dutyシリーズ3タイトルなどを，Valveのオンライン配信システム「Steam」を使ってダウンロード販売すると発表した。
　今回Steamでの配信が発表されたタイトルは，「Call of Duty」（19.95ドル），「Call of Duty 2」，（39.95ドル）「Call of Duty: United Offensive」（19.95ドル），「Gun」（19.95ドル）の4タイトルで，配信時期は未定だ。

　最近，Steamで配信されるゲームが増えており，先日もロボットアクションゲーム「RoboBlitz」の配信決定をお伝えしたばかり。
　このほかにも，都市建設シム「City Life」やカートゥーンアクション「Psychonauts」などを配信している。当初はValveのゲームを扱っているだけだったSteamだが，いまや多くの他社作品を含む20タイトル以上を配信中。立派なゲームダウンロード配信基地となりつつあるようだ。（朝倉哲也）
