「World of Warcraft」，登録者数が1150万人に
Blizzard Entertainmentは，「World of Warcraft」の全世界における登録者数が，1150万人に達したと発表した。
このとてつもない記録は，2008年11月13日に発売された拡張パック第二弾「World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King」の発売によってもたらされたもの。
この拡張パックは発売後24時間で280万本を売り上げ，その後1か月の間に400万本以上の販売を達成するという，これまたとてつもない数字をたたき出しており，PCゲームの24時間での販売本数と，1か月での販売本数という両ジャンルでの新記録を達成している。
ちなみに，「Wrath of the Lich King」が破るまで，この両方の記録を持っていたのは，第一弾拡張パックの「World of Warcrat: The Burning Crusade」だった。
