「Starlancer」のデベロッパ，Digital Anvilが閉鎖に
「Stralancer」（邦題 スターランサー）や「Freelancer」といった，スペースコンバットシムの開発元として知られるDigital Anvilが閉鎖された。
Digital Anvilは，1996年に「Wing Commander」などを手がけた Chris Roberts氏によって設立されたが，その後Microsoftによって買収された。2003年には「Starlancer」や「Freelancer」といった，大宇宙を宇宙船で飛び回りミッションをこなしていくスペースコンバットシミュレーションを発表していた。
なお，テキサスにあったDigital Anvilが閉鎖されたことで，希望する社員は，ワシントンのMicrosoft Game Studiosへ異動となる模様。（朝倉哲也）
