なかやまきんに君を筆頭に，マッチョ集団が打ち水で暑気払い！ 「セインツロウ」マッスル打ち水フェス2022をレポート

　本日（2022年8月22日），東京・渋谷駅に面する渋谷ストリーム稲荷橋広場にて「『セインツロウ』マッスル打ち水フェス2022」が開催された。


　本イベントは8月23日に「セインツロウ」（PC/PS5/Xbox Series X/PS4/Xbox One）が発売されることを記念するもので，ステージには同作のアシスタントプロジェクトマネージャーである方敏傑（フォン・マンキット）氏や，タレントのなかやまきんに君が登場。作品の魅力についてアツくアピールしていた。

　ステージに現れた方敏傑氏は，司会者に作品の魅力を聞かれると「本作はキャラクターがとても自由にカスタマイズでき，舞台とミッションも細部まで作り込んでいます。アクションも難しくないので，普段ゲームを遊んでいない人もきっと楽しめるでしょう」と語っていた。


　続いて本日のメインゲストである，なかやまきんに君が登壇。だが今日の彼はトレードマークのタンクトップとホットパンツ姿ではなく，ネオンのようなド派手な色のスーツを着ていた。筋肉芸人だというのに，自慢の肉体を晒さなくてもいいのかい？　どうなんだい？

おなじみ「パワー！」のかけ声も，普段とは違って聞こえる

　その後まもなく，方敏傑氏がアピールしていた「キャラクターの自由なカスタマイズ」がどれほどのものなのか確かめるため，実際にゲーム内のキャラクターできんに君を再現してみることに。今回の「セインツロウ」は髪や体型や服装はもちろんのこと「筋肉の鮮明度」「血管の浮き具合」まで設定できるため，なかなか本人に近い感じに仕上がっていく。


　次第に自分そっくりになっていくキャラクターを見ているうちに，きんに君はゲームと現実の境目があいまいに……もとい，キャラクターに対する感情移入を深めていったらしい。
　ゲームがスタートするときんに君は，キャラクターに危険なことが起こるたびに「あぶなーい！」「落ちるー！」と叫び，プールで泳いでいる場面では「これは減量中かな？」などとつぶやく。すっかり自分自身がゲームの世界に入り込んでしまったかのような様子を見せて，会場の笑いを誘っていた。

　そしてステージイベントの最後は，きんに君による打ち水でしめくくられることになった。もちろんきんに君がスーツ姿のままで終わるわけもなく，おもむろにスーツに手をかけ，「パワー！」の掛け声とともにスーツを脱ぎ捨てる！


　水の入ったバケツを前にしたきんに君は，「カメラやPCに水がかかる恐れがある」と取材陣に警告。一時あたりは騒然となったが，きんに君はそんな取材陣を気使うような発言をしつつも，焦らすようにたっぷりとポージングをキメて，それから勢いよくバケツの水をぶちまけた！


　が，水をぶちまけたのはステージのバックパネルの方向。見事取材陣に水をかけずに「ひっかけた」という，トンチの効いたオチだったわけである。

「会場の体感温度もマイナス200度くらいになったはず！　パワー！」ときんに君

　ステージイベントの終了後は，会場にウォーターガンを持ったマッチョ集団がなだれ込み，集まった人たちに向けて水を乱射しはじめた。……というのはつい話を盛り過ぎたが，水をかぶった人（実際には手をぬらす程度でもOKだった）にはオリジナルタオルやタコス，“映えかき氷”が配られていた。


　暑苦しいマッチョたちが，打ち水をして涼をとるという，もはや暑いんだか涼しいんだかよく分からない状況になっていた「『セインツロウ』マッスル打ち水フェス2022」。ただ，そんなカオスな風情こそが「セインツロウ」らしいといえばらしいイベントだったと言えるかもしれない。
